A few short weeks ago we got the opportunity to show off a fantastic charitable organisation. Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) provides an invaluable service that helps hundreds of people every year. However, it comes as a surprise to many that the Air Ambulance is a charity.
SCAA asked for our help in producing an information video. One in thirteen of SCAA’s call-outs relate to horse riding injuries. SCAA wished to create a video aimed at educating riders on safe falling techniques. This information could reduce the rate and severity of injury for riders by helping them practice some simple techniques.
SCAA provide a unique form of paramedic support. This video allowed us to highlight their invaluable work. We produced a selection of different kinds of content. The video contains short, simple interviews with John Pritchard (Lead Paramedic, SCAA) and Helene Mauchlen (The British Horse Society, Scotland). The video also contains practical demonstrations of safe falling technique from Kirsty McWilliam (Riders of the Storm stunt rider).
