Hybrid Event Suppliers in Scotland

Our overview

Dundee-based IGS was one of many companies worldwide that participated in COP26 in Glasgow in 2021. Like others, IGS chose to live-stream their session, where the Minister of Agriculture for the United States of America was interviewed. An interview with someone as important as this was a great opportunity to get the IGS name in front of hundreds, if not thousands, of potential investors worldwide!

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:
Our main challenge was the set-up time. We had less than an hour to set up, test the connections and go live without an rehearsals.

Solution:
Our solution was to work with our client and ensure that we knew exactly what would happen and when.

Challenge:
Ensure that we made ISG and their stakeholders look their best as The Minister for Agriculture from the United States of America will be taking part in this very important interview.

Solution:
We planned in advance what we would do and what role each person would take on. Equipment was also important was we wanted to deliver the best possible quality, so we shot in 4k. We also had a backup, so if anything went wrong, we could switch to another system seamlessly.

Challenge:
To Supply an easy-to-use platform for delegates to watch the conference.

Solution:
This was an easy one, as 98% of people in the USA use Zoom, we knew we wouldn’t have issues with people logging on to watch.

About The SGI Event

For two weeks in November 2021, IGS took up residence on a formerly derelict site on the Broomielaw in the city centre of Glasgow. Inside a 20m2 marquee, we constructed a 5.4-meter-tall demonstration vertical farm facility and an accompanying educational exhibition designed to educate visitors about the challenges facing current modes of food production and the vertical farming solution IGS has developed.

The exhibition was open to the public, and over the two weeks of COP26, nearly 300 young people and school pupils were welcomed to the site on the bank of the River Clyde in the city centre of Glasgow to learn more about the role vertical farming has to play in the future of global food supply.
